As a physician I find that key to any treatment is teaching and informing my patients, to enable them to be the steward of their disease. Working with a lot of patients with whom I don't share a language, I often struggle to get as much information accross the language barrier as possible. Good patient information materials translated into many languages therefore are of incredible worth to me as they allow me to easily print out more information my patient understands than I could fit into a consultation.
Over time I have accumulated a lot of different sources and materials, a lot of good ones on the pages of Medline and the CDC from the USA. Due to the ongoing descent into fasciscm, I feared for those materials. I decided to collect, archive, and categorize all materials and links dear to me. With this page, I want to share my collection with you.
I created this page, to have all the multilingual patient information materials that are publicly available from trusted sources readily available in my practice. It is supposed to enable me to have all the materials available in the language of my patient searchable in seconds, to be printed out during the appointment with the patient.
I hope this will support physicians and their patients all over.
If you have suggestions for sources or materials that are not yet included in this page, please hit me up on the fediverse: andrmr@mastodon.social or via email: contactØnodoj.net!
I dream of building an online community that translates these and more materials into more languages, maybe using Weblate. If you want to join the cause, please also message me.
I would like to hear from you if you are a developer and want to support this site. I am a self-taught dilettante, who wrote this thing for fun in plain html and some JQuery. For some next features it could use a professional.
Please also message me if you find content on here thats offensive or factually wrong, or if you find translations that are wrong or so bad they should not be included here.
